More vocabulary from nursery rhymes!
This time it’s the turn for ‘DINGLE, DANGLE SCARECROW’
First thing: Dingle doesn´t exist, it’s just to make the rhyme. The verb is to dangle, more or less like to hang.
Second, when it says: “with a flippy, floppy hat”, again, flippy doesn´t exist, it’s ‘floppy’.
Floppy means flexible or soft.
Then we have “when all the hens are roosting”
To roost means to land (birds) to spend the night.
