The Comanches were bands of native Americans who lived in the Southern Plains. They originally lived further north (middle of current US) but they kept moving South. They were nomads, hunter-gatherers, good warriors and traders. When the new settlers arrived they traded with them, often with stolen goods, including people.
Kiowa ‘indians’ were another tribe of American Indians who lived in tee-pees, they were nomads, they hunted buffalo and they also gathered plants and roots. They originally lived in the Great Plains, then migrating to the Southern Plains (middle-southern area of United States), today the Texas panhandle, west Oklahoma and northeast New Mexico.
