Hollow body position

The hollow body position is a position of the body which is basic is gymnastics.

It requires a lot of muscle strenght and it tales quite a lot of practice to attain it.


It is normally done on the floor, and it consists of extending your legs and arms while lying on the floor face up but not touching the ground and lying over your dorsal part of the spine, which must be the only part of your body that touches the floor, not your head nor your scapulas. So you try to keep your body spread while holding this position, an effort that your abs especially notice.
